What you'll do
- Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and reminders
- Handle inbound and outbound patient communications professionally
- Enter and update patient data accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Organize and manage clinical documents and records
- Assist with billing workflows and prior authorization coordination
- Follow all applicable HIPAA and patient privacy protocols
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative role
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR platforms (e.g. Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional work environment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Commitment to patient privacy and professional confidentiality
